Dr. Hanak is a founding leader and current  CEO of the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School (www.palcs.org), a cyber charter school serving more than 2,000 students throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He has persistently championed the cyber charter cause, supporting efforts to create legislation on the state level to ensure the future of K-12 cyber education. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Pennsylvania Coalition of Charter Schools, and has been elected for eleven consecutive years as a Republican Committee Person and Westtown township auditor. Dr Hanak has published over 400 articles nationally on educational and human interest matters. In the 1970's he served on the High Flight Foundation's advisory board with Colonel James Irwin, Moon astronaut.

Eileen Rothrock is a graduate of Arcadia University and has been Business Manager of Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School since its inception in 2004.  She has participated in many trips to Harrisburg to lobby for cyber school legislation. In the past she has worked as Business Manager for the Haverford School, Delaware County Christian School, and Immaculata University.  Previously, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry for more than ten years. She is also a Republican committee person for Chester County, Pennsylvania. Eileen has a lovely voice and is part of a church choir that performs a Christmas concert for the Delaware Valley.

 

 Lisa Quinn has been teaching language arts and special education since 1986.  She was hired to teach secondary English at the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School in the fall of 2004.  She procured a $100,000 grant to fund an off-site/cyber leadership program that became the "Young Leaders Program" for PA Leadership.  This Leadership Center has grown and now offers other blended leadership development learning programs.  Lisa developed teams which have taken students to Panama, China, Quebec and Egypt for language immersions and culture study.  Out of over 800 schools nation wide that applied, her program was the recipient of the 2007 Comcast Cable Leaders in Learning Award for creative thinking with international e-education.   

  

 
Debra Berbaum began as a special education teacher at the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School and this year was asked to be the Director of the Guidance Department, supporting eight employees. Before coming to PALCS, she taught on the elementary and secondary level for 17 years.  She holds a Masters Degree in School Counseling and is currently working towards a doctorate in School Administration and School Counseling. In the years 2004 and 2005 she was voted Women's Business Leader of the Year in Chester County for the rapid growth of the four Curves for Women franchises she owned.  Deb is also an avid horsewoman and rides almost every weekend.

Steve Rockelman is currently the Federal Program Coordinator, guiding eight teachers, at the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School. In this role, Mr. Rockelman procured an allocation grant for Title 1, II, and V of nearly 300,000.  This money was used to develop the Title I, II and V programs at PALCS.  Before PALCS, Rockelman taught for many years, and worked as principal at the Summit Valley Elementary School in Garden Spot School District, Lancaster County. He also worked as assistant principal of the Elizabethtown Middle School in Elizabethtown School District. Also, Steve has an amazing voice and has been a guest vocalist for many years at weddings and church functions all over Lancaster and York counties.
